ABOUT
The connecting thread in my work is elevating Design beyond “prettification” to a strategic tool for discovery & transformation — for individuals, businesses, & communities.
I was born & raised in Calcutta, a city in eastern India that's somehow always dying and mysteriously alive at the same time.
The most visible ways out of poverty (at the time) were regimented education & business systems — assembly lines for rote learning & formulaic applications. With a knack for coloring outside the lines, I followed my nose in an unconventional route across the world — from Bengal & Bihar to Illinois, Michigan & California.
The journey took me through world-renowned creative firms like IDEO, international awards for architecture & design, teaching stints at Stanford University & UC Berkeley; and some of the largest corporations across 7+ industries, working closely with the C-suites in each organization.
It has spanned roles ranging from ethnographic research & product design, to business strategy and corporate intra-preneurship.
My wife & I are lucky to live in the San Francisco Bay Area. We read, tend our garden, argue, cook, and plan for the future together — with mixed results :)
